Powerful Earthquake Hits Haiti

Wow. This is just shocking and heartbreaking. A powerful earthquake with a 7.2 on the Richter Scale pretty much flattened the capital. Here's some more details that I acquired from CNN.com

Officials fear more than 100,000 people have died as a result of Tuesday's 7.0-magnitude earthquake in Haiti.

The capital, Port-au-Prince, "is flattened," said Haiti's consul general to the U.N., Felix Augustin, who said he believed more than 100,000 people were dead. Hospitals are gone, and medical supplies and heavy equipment are desperately needed, he said.

The country's prime minister said the death toll could be in the hundreds of thousands.

The 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday, centered about 10 miles (15 kilometers) southwest of Port-au-Prince, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. It could be felt strongly in eastern Cuba, more than 200 miles away.

The earthquake's power matched that of several nuclear bombs, said Roger Searle, a professor of geophysics in the Earth Sciences Department at Durham University in England. He said the combination of its magnitude and geographical shallowness made it particularly dangerous.

About 3 million people -- one-third of Haiti's population -- were affected by the quake, the Red Cross said. About 10 million people felt shaking from the earthquake, including 2 million who felt severe trembling, the U.S. Geological Survey estimated.

This is just terrible what had just happened, and just a surprise. This is the strongest earthquake in 200 years. Personally, my heart will go out to those in grief and I will pray for them.

The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special - In 3D! On Ice!

Okay, before you start wondering, it's not in 3d or on Ice. But, it was a special anniversary documentary looking back at the success of the Simpsons franchise. I thought it was pretty cool.

For example, they showed the state in which Springfield was based off of, as well as a real Springfield Elementary School. Not to mention it had some of the most obsessed fans of the show. Some people could do voices, one person had tons of collectibles in his Treehouse of Horror and one person had a full body tattoo on his back. It looked pretty awesome.

Besides that, there were interviews with the cast, crew, writers, former staff, and those who have absolutely no connection to the franchise, but explain their thoughts on The Simpsons.

Though it did show the controversy behind the season 13 episode, "Blame It On Lisa" and the reaction in Brazil. The things the Simpsons portrayed were said to be false. That's what I always thought.

Anyway, the Documentary was hosted and directed by Morgan Spurlock. Yeah, I never heard of him, but he seemed to know what he was talking about.

In conclusion, this was a pretty cool special that I would recommend to any Simpsons fan. And if you're a fan that missed it: I pity you. Just kidding :)

So, I would ultimately give it a perfect 10!

Oh, and more videos will be uploaded on my YouTube Channel this week.

And the plot...

The team sets out on its mission to complete the assassination, but with little help from the nations as they try to keep the mission secret. From what I've seen, this looks pretty cool. I might just see it when it comes out...in August 2010. Damn. That's all I got to say.

MMPR Remastering: One Week Later

Okay, so I watched this week's "new" episodes and I thought they were an improvement over last week. Reason is Disney wasn't trying to cram so many effects in one minute, and instead, kept it to a minimum. Quality is still good, though I still wish they would get rid of the labels for the Dino-Zords.

As for the episodes themselves, just basic, classic Power Rangers. Yeah...

All in all, better than last week.
